Not Just CAD is the social media platform for CADFMconsultants. It originally started as a simple blog on Blogger.com way back when, but has since developed into not only a blog, but also a podcast, and an established social media brand.

Shaun's affectionate nickname CADjedi comes from an old AutoCAD forum name that Shaun used many years ago. The nickname stuck and has become his own personal brand within the Not Just CAD branding.

The Not Just CAD blog is read worldwide and has gained a global following.

It is even read by the likes of the C-Level executive suite at Autodesk, including the CEO, CMO, and COO.

As the name suggests, it not just about CAD. It covers CAD and everything else around CAD in the CAD ecosystem.

Written with a suitable level of sarcasm and nuance, in an anecdotal style, Shaun is always willing to put his head above the parapet and call a spade a spade.

He WILL call out shenanigans when he sees them, and all of the posts in the blog are formed from his own personal opinion, and are not influenced nor sponsored by any of the vendors in the CAD or BIM industries.

All of the current blog posts are shown below. Simply scroll down and click on each one to read it.

Grab a coffee (and cake) before digging into the Not Just CAD blog, because once you have read one post, you will always want to read the next one!

Happy reading!
